Mexa Moscow - International Trade Fair For Fur & Fur Processing

Elegant coats and jackets, lavish accessories – fur is the embodiment of luxury. And the desire for luxury and an appealing design is mounting, noticeably so particularly among the fashion-conscious and increasingly affl uent Russians. This boom is set to benefi t this year's MEXA MOSCOW between 12th and 14th October 2007: exhibitors from all over the world will this year once again be showing off the latest trends in fur fashions as well as production and fi nishing technologies. Attractions for visitors: besides the daily fashion shows, the designer and master furrier Michael Hasse will be hosting a seminar on letting-out and slicing.

Interest in the autumn trade fair "Season of Fur" among the industry's various companies is huge: two and a half months prior to the grand opening the exhibition space is already two-thirds booked. Russia is also seen as the most attractive fur market in the world – an economic growth rate of 6.7 percent in 2006 speaks for itself. Already last autumn, 116 exhibitors from 17 different countries in the world took the opportunity to ring in the winter season with MEXA MOSCOW. And, in 2007 as well, the exhibitors will include renowned auction houses such as American Legend, North American Fur Association, Saga Furs and Finnish Fur Sales Co Ltd.

MEXA MOSCOW also boasts a high turnout of visitors from Russia and abroad. Here, locally, you tend to fi nd dealers and buyers on the look-out for new creations and quality materials. Some 8, 400 visitors fl ocked to the last "Season of Fur". As in the past, the international trade fair will feature a glittering and attractive fringe programme for visitors: daily fashion shows from the collections of the exhibitors will afford a glimpse at the latest trends in the industry.
