Cologne Fine Art

Cologne Fine Art is the only art fair Europe-wide with a section devoted to Art Brut (Outsider Art). The second edition of the Fair, scheduled for the autumn for the first time, runs from 31 October to 4 November 2007. The venue is the Cologne Trade Fair Centre.

Cologne Fine Art is a mix of the best of three precursor fairs - Westdeutsche Kunstmesse, Kunstköln and Antiquariatsmesse Köln. One of the highlights of this mix is the Art Brut section of Kunstköln. This year, six international gallerists will be grouped around a special, museum-quality Art Brut exhibition titled 'Die Kunst der Medien'. The exhibition will be curated by Claudia Dichter, Michael Krajewski and Susanne Zander.

The six galleries exhibiting are: Andrew Edlin (New York); Fischer Kunsthandel & Edition (Berlin); Jean-Pierre Ritsch-Fisch (Strasbourg); Kunst & Handel (Graz); Susanne Zander (Cologne). Ritsch-Fisch will be concentrating on classic Art Brut artists, Susanne Zander on East European artists like Foma Jaremtschuk and Miroslav Tichy, and Kunst & Handel on Johann Hauser. Fischer Kunsthandel are also showing Hauser together with work by Michel Nedjar, Paul Goesch, Volkmar Schulz-Rumpold, Louis Soutter, Scottie Wilson and Adolf Wölfli.
