The 44th Exhibition of Information & Communications Technology

Smau 2007, the 44th International Exhibition of Information & Communications Technology, will showcase state-of-the-art technologies for a large audience of professional visitors expected to flock to halls 22 and 24 of Fiera Milano Rho Pero Exhibition Center on October 17 to 20.

Following last year's transformation into a business-to-business only tradeshow, which was welcomed by exhibitors and visitors alike, Smau has maintained this formula, allowing for access by professional visitors upon registration, as well as the new location at the modern and functional Rho Pero Exhibition Center.

The organizers are satisfied with the positive results achieved, that is 455 exhibitors on an exhibition area of 35, 000 square meters (+16% compared to last year) stretching on halls 22 and 24. A very interesting feature about Smau 2007 is the success recorded by the Special Initiatives covering an area of nearly 2, 000 square meters, more than double the surface occupied in 2006. The demand for seminars has also increased with over 120 seminars on the agenda for e-Academy.

Smau 2007 will also boast a good number of foreign exhibitors (19% of the total) including international pavilions from the Czech Republic, Korea and Taiwan and companies from Austria, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates and the US.

The exhibition targets a business audience made up of corporate decision makers (both from SMEs and large firms), central and local government officials, professionals, technicians and ICT specialists, distributors, resellers, communication professionals and all those who use ICT in their work and wish to know more about the technologies on display.

During the four exhibition days visitors will get a complete overview on state-of-the-art Information & Communications Technology including: Enterprise Technologies and Solutions, Hardware and Software, Automatic Identification and Security, Telecommunications, Networking, Sound & Vision, Digital Imaging, Digital Technologies and Solutions for the Public Sector, e-Mobility, Basic and Applied Research and Trade Publications.
