During its 36th edition, IBERFLORA will host almost 600 exhibitors which, in turn, will occupy 28, 000 net square meters in Pavilions 1, 2, 3 and 4 at Feria Valencia on levels 2 and 3. IBERFLORA will take place from 17 to 19 October 2007. Even with a few weeks still left before the fair starts, the number of firms that have contracted space at the fair equal the total figures of the last edition. The main novelty of this yearīs fair is the introduction of IBERFLORA INNOVATION. IBERFLORA intends to excel itself and to be more than a forum for exchanges between firms which specialise in plants and flowers, technology and gardens.

To do this, IBERFLORA 2007 will encourage the leading firms and organisations of the sector through IBERFLORA INNOVATION, which will highlight and demonstrate that they back innovation and research in the plant, flower, technology and garden sectors. To this end, the firms, products and services selected by the fair will appear free of charge in a catalogue specially edited for the occasion, and they will display the IBERFLORA INNOVATION logo on their stand so that visitor to IBERFLORA 2007 will be able to easily identify the latest innovations in the sector.

The sectors will be set out as follows: Plants and Flowers will occupy level 3 of Pavilions 1, 2, 3 and 4. Specifically, the Valencian producers have extended their presence and will be located in Pavilion 1 and part of Pavilion 3, which they will share with the international exhibitors. Pavilions 2 and 4 will house the various representatives from the different Spanish autonomous regions.

Among the international producers, which will be located in Pavilion 3, the grouped presence of Italian firms stands out (from Sicily, Pistoia and Lacio), and also Costa Rica, Portugal and Holland, as well as others like France and Belgium. The increased presence of Italian firms stands out thanks to the presence from the province of Pistoia which occupy 800 square meters.

The international presence will also increase as far as buyers are concerned since three months prior to the event, professional buyers from Germany, Belgium, Denmark, France, Holland, Poland, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Russia had already confirmed their attendance. The presence of Russian professionals and those from Dubai is particularly relevant. The visit from the Florists Federation in Russia represents a first step of the opening of a market of difficult access, but one of unquestionable interest for both Spanish and Russian firms.

The Garden Halls also note a significant increase as, for the first time, it will occupy the level 2 of pavilions 1, 3 and 4. The whole of Pavilion 2 will host the Technology Hall. This next edition will count on important firms in the sector like Bellota or Bayer Garden which have opted for the IBERFLORA project. Therefore, IBERFLORA advances and complements its offer in the Garden Hall may with new Gardening and entertainment products.
