The 59th International Trade Fair "Ideas - Inventions - Innovations" is on at the Nuremberg Fair from 1 to 4 November 2007. Some 650 inventions and innovative products receiving their world premiere at the IENA. German inventors come top: INSTI inventor clubs prominently represented yet again. Top-quality supporting programme and special presentations. Award from Federal President Horst Köhler: IENA is one of the 365 selected events of the "Germany – Land of Ideas" initiative: IENA Day of Action on 4 November.

For the 59th time the IENA, International "Ideas – Inventions – Innovations" Trade Fair, presents a broad spectrum of inventions, product innovations and solutions to problems from all over the world. These innovations did not originate in the development departments of large companies; instead they were predominantly developed by freelance inventors meeting trade visitors in Nuremberg from over 40 nations.

The majority of the inventions on display receive their world premiere at the IENA, being presented here to the trade for the very first time. Every year this fact turns the media spotlight from home and abroad upon the Nuremberg inventors' fair.

Some 650 inventions from low tech to high tech. Once again the organisers, AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen, are counting on more than 650 inventions, novel products and technical innovations from all over the world, ranging from low tech to high tech. The focuses of the inventions on display are on developments from the sectors of mechanical engineering, energy technology, the building industry, leisure, hobbies, sport, motor vehicle engineering and accessories, medical engineering, medicine and cosmetics, protection of the environment, office equipment, IT, electronics, communication technology, chemistry, advertising and graphic design, and agriculture.

The IENA is an impressive reflection of the work of freelance inventors who work with tireless flair at developing new products, solutions to problems and practical things for daily life. With their technical skills, coupled with creativity and a wealth of ideas, they make a vital contribution to the economy and their nation's international competitiveness.

For the first two days the IENA Nuremberg is open only to trade visitors; on 3/4 November it is also open to the general public, and exhibitors are always very curious to know how their invention will be received by consumers.
