The International Road Safety and Equipment Exhibition, TRAFIC

The International Road Safety and Equipment Exhibition-TRAFIC, is progressing with the organisation of its tenth edition, which is due to take place at Feria de Madrid between 2nd and 5th October. The International Road Safety and Equipment Exhibition, which has already surpassed the exhibition area recorded at the last edition, will incorporate a number of important new features aimed at strengthening its international dimension, as well as boosting its role as a forum for promoting and disseminating the latest technological advances within the sector.

In this respect, TRAFIC, the only fair that has been able to combine the attendance and interests of two areas as closely connected as road safety and road equipment, has grown alongside the industry, based on a progressive increase in all its figures, such as the number and stature of the participating companies, the volume and qualifications of its trade visitors and an increasingly large exhibition area. Precisely in order to cater for the fairīs growth, TRAFIC will move to Hall 3 at this edition, a larger venue than its previous location, thus enabling the organisers to cater for exhibitor demand.

With a view to boosting the trade profile at TRAFIC, the fair has planned a range of different measures, including the promotional mailings carried out in collaboration with the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) aimed at important members of various administration bodies: mayors, heads of provincial delegations, traffic departments, transport advisors and heads, etc. This initiative will not be limited to a national scope either, also being aimed at public representatives in Portugal, a country for which TRAFIC, due to its geographic and social proximity, represents an excellent opportunity to discover the latest international advances under the headings of road safety and road equipment.

Furthermore, the fair will once again stage its Foreign Buyers Programme, in which respect invitations have been dispatched to important public figures in various countries connected to the fields of road safety and road infrastructures. On this occasion, the main focus will be on representatives from the recently incorporated countries of the European Union, as well as from the markets of the Southern United States, in collaboration with AMECURBIS and with the sponsorship of the Spanish Foreign Trade Institute (ICEX).

TRAFIC will also provide the setting for a number of interesting Specialised Conferences and Trade Meetings, events that have been designed to complement the fairīs commercial dimension. In this respect, preparations are being made for the staging of a Conference on Mobility, organised by Madrid City Council, a body that will play an especially active role at this edition of the fair, bot h through the presentation of this conference and through its general participation at the event as a whole.
