The 10th Annual Green Building Expo

The 10th Annual Green Building Expo is scheduled for October 5th and 6th, 2007 at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. With more than 6, 000 people expected to attend, this year's Expo is shaping up to be an exciting two days filled with a wide array of activities for all ages.

Green builders and consumers will receive up-to-date information on energy and resource efficiency and have access to new products and services that support sustainability at home, the workplace and school. This year's keynote speaker at the event is internationally-recognized architect, Ed Mazria.

In addition to developing the 2030 Initiative and the 2010 Imperative, a global movement to address the current climate crisis, he is the author of the well-known book, The Passive Solar Home and many published articles. Cinema Verde, a film festival featuring short films on green building and healthy living will also run throughout the event. All events are free and open to the public.

Sponsors and exhibitors focusing on green building are invited to reserve space as soon as possible. Architects, designers, furniture designers, builders and alternative building systems providers on both the commercial and residential side are encouraged to participate. Space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and was sold out last year. Sponsors and exhibitors get a variety of benefits, including being featured in the Expo Directory, which not only reaches the more than 6, 000 people expected to attend the event, but is also distributed at many other green building events and at City offices throughout the year.
