PhotoPlus International Conference and Expo

PDN's PhotoPlus International Conference and Expo (PPE), the largest and most comprehensive photography expo and educational conference, will once again bring the international world of photography into focus October 18-20 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.

PPE, which has over 250 manufacturers showcasing the most advanced products and technologies, and more than 100 photography and design seminars, hands-on workshops and special events targeted at all photographic levels, has enjoyed steady growth over the past three years. Attendance rose by 9% in both 2005 and in 2006. In 2007 attendance is expected to reach 30, 000, another 9% increase.

The show brings together diverse audiences including professional and amateur photographers, students, imaging professionals, educators and manufacturers and is the industry's premier resource for information, solutions, ideas, and networking. In addition to its echelon of established exhibitors such as Adobe, Apple, Bogen, Canon, Epson, Fuji, HP, Nikon, Olympus, Pentax and Sony, the show has attracted a number of new exhibitors from a variety of industries. This year PPE will have over 90, 000 square feet of exhibits, galleries and other attractions at the Jacob Javits Center, compared to 82, 000 square feet in 2006.

After an enthusiastic audience reception of the 2006 PhotoPlus exhibition of the winning images from the World in Focus travel photography contest (sponsored by National Geographic Traveler and PDN), PPE is continuing the World in Focus theme in 2007. PPE will also once again offer visitors the Gold Expo Pass, a three-day pass with exclusive preview of the show floor; access to keynotes and special events; and other benefits. The robust seminar program will include special Saturday offerings for photography students.
