The 15th edition of Febrava, which takes place in São Paulo, Brazil, from September 18 to 21, 2007, gathers together the principal world marks of the sector and should attract the attention of 25 thousand buyers from 35 countries.

The research that was undertaken by IBGE - Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, investigated the turnover history of the HVAC-R industries that operate in Brazil, which also counted with official data taken from PIA - Annual Industrial Research, collated periodically by the government.

Among the big global marks that have confirmed their presence at FEBRAVA 2007 are Bitzer, Carrier, Cccme, Dupont, Elgin, Eletrolux, Embraco, Emerson Climate, Frigelar, Fujitsu, Full Gauge Controls, Hitachi, Johnson Controls, LG Electronics, Midea Airconditioning, Mitsubishi - Frioterm, Tecumseh, Tosi Indústria, Trox and Whirlpool. FEBRAVA 2007 will present about one thousand launches and product innovations.

The air-conditioning market in Brazil has registered a significant increase in production, increasing sales fivefold since 1995. In ten years, the segment ceased to be characterised as an area of only imported products, of high cost, to broach other sectors that includes industries, hospitals, commercial and public buildings, supermarkets, shopping centres, banks and hotels. The sale of cheaper equipment, easy to install, like the mini-splits, has created new markets such as small and medium sized companies, as well as residences.
