8th China International Exhibition on Modern Railways Equipment

Modern Railways 2007, or the 8th China International Exhibition on Modern Railways Equipment and Technology, is confirmed to be held at China International Exhibition Center (CIEC), Beijing, from the 5th to 9th of September 2007. It is planned that the exhibtion will cover a floor space of 13, 000 square meters in the Halls 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 of CIEC.

Modern Railways 2007 aims at displaying the world's up-do-date technologies and equipment on passenger-dedicated lines, speed enhancement on existing railways, heavy-haul transport, railway safety, informationization, energy saving and environmental protection.

MOR will give great support to Modern Railways 2007 by showing, in a separate hall, its innovative technologies and achievements on the construction of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, speed enhancement to 200km/h on existing railway lines, upgrade of the locomotives & rolling stock, heavy-haul transport on Daqing Railway, construction of passenger-dedicated lines, informationization, energy saving and environmental protection, together with the blueprint of the development on the Chinese railways and prospects for international cooperation.

During the exhibition, MOR will also host high-profile forums and technical seminars on "technology and equipment on the construction of hight-speed railways", "locomotives and rolling stock for high-speed trains", "sigaling and communication technology and equipment on hgih-speed railways" and "speed enhancement on existing railway lines".

Modern Railways 2007 shall serve as an important platform for international exchanges and cooperation on railways between China and other parts of the world, and provide a golden opportunity for all exhibitors to display their corporate image, keep themselves updated on the latest development of the Chinese railway industry, seek cooperation and tap China's vast railway market.
