Aircraft Interiors Expo Asia 2007

It's very much a case of east meets west at Aircraft Interiors Expo Asia 2007. The show, which will co-locate with the new Asian Aerospace show at the Asia World-Expo in Hong Kong from 3-6 September, will feature companies of all sizes from the major international organisations through to small specialist companies from Asia, Europe and North America.

Amongst the world leaders exhibiting will be Airbus KID-Systeme. The company will be presenting its two main product groups, SKYpower and Mobile OnAir System, with demonstrations of the latest designs and developments for the SKYpower 110V In-Seat Power Supply System. Visitors will also be given the opportunity to have a close look at the Mobile OnAir telephony system, for which Airbus KID-Systeme supplies the technical equipment.

Another major player is EADS Sogerma Services, the prime services provider to airlines, business aviation operators and aircraft manufacturers, with a portfolio that includes global support and maintenance for aircraft, together with aircraft and cabin customisation for VIP aircraft and airlines.

To emphasise its position as the world's only single-source provider of soft cabin interiors, Lantal Textiles is showcasing its core capabilities, featuring support-backed all-in-one interior solutions. This year Lantal is planning to showcase a brand new prototype of a fully pneumatic seat with air filled back and bottom cushions.

Premium Aircraft Interiors Group draws on the products and services of Contour Premium Aircraft Seating, DASELL, Heath Tecna and Sell to provide insight, analysis and solutions. Premium has signalled its commitment to the regional market with the announcement that it has gained approval to establish a subsidiary company in China in order to provide enhanced spares supply and technical support to customers in the China and Far East region.

A blue-chip name in the seating world, Recaro Aircraft Seating has operations in Europe, the USA and Africa. The company designs, produces and markets aircraft seats for major manufacturers including Airbus and Boeing. American Airlines, Air China, Iberia and Lufthansa all feature in its portfolio of airline customers.

Another leader is Regent Aerospace Corporation, the largest independent aircraft interior reconfiguration, restoration and refurbishing company in the world. Regent can transform old and outdated cabins into new and modernised cabins with FAA-PMA replacement parts.

Thales will be demonstrating how it is making flying more comfortable and enjoyable for passengers and cabin crews. The company delivers tailor-made solutions to requirements ranging from cockpit electronics to in-flight entertainment systems. Additional airline customers gained in 2007 already number in double figures for Thales's TopSeries IFE system.

But Aircraft Interiors Expo Asia is not just about the big guns. Hanse Aerospace is the largest German federation of small and medium-size enterprises in the aerospace sector. The member enterprises represent a broad spectrum spanning development, manufacturing, maintenance and services.
