NürnbergMesse In The Mood For Champagne

The NürnbergMesse team is working intensively on preparing the ground for more success. This includes the purchase of the Mailingtage exhibition as well as the extension of the contract for the world-leading exhibition Interzoo until 2020, which NürnbergMesse organizes on behalf of the owner WZF.

Also upfront is Chillventa Nürnberg, the International Trade Fair for Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Heat Pumps, which starts in autumn 2008. Over two thirds of the planned area of 30, 000 m2 are already allocated to national and international exhibitors. The new refrigeration exhibition CholodExpo Rossija starts in Moscow in February 2008, six months before Chillventa.

In addition to purchases, the development of existing events and the establishment of new ones play a key role at NürnbergMesse. Now that the natural personal care and wellness theme has been successfully developed from the world's leading exhibition BioFach and has celebrated its premiere as the new exhibition Vivaness in 2007, the concept of an independent organic wine hall is being implemented as part of BioFach. OutdoorClassics also has the potential for new themes after over 30 years in the market: The Law Enforcement (personal and building protection) segment of this exhibition is developing exceptionally well. "This segment is being positioned independently and is subject to strict admission control, " explains Diederichs.

Exhibition boss Diederichs describes the premiere of BioFach China, which was celebrated a few weeks ago together with the official opening of the subsidiary NürnbergMesse China, as especially encouraging. Whereas the subsidiary managed by Axel Bartkus has already landed a second coup with the purchase of Powder/Bulk Shanghai, an exhibition corresponding to POWTECH in Nürnberg, other regions are still in the initial stages. NürnbergMesse is currently checking commitments in India, Japan and North America.

In view of a booming economy, Diederichs expects a group turnover of around 122 million euros in the current business year, which would correspond to growth of some six per cent above target. The aim is to achieve a balanced year-end result again. The increased proceeds on turnover are due equally to the strong demand for our own and partner events including exhibition services and for guest events and congresses.
