Go, The Technology Fair for Automation and Electronics

Go, the Technology Fair for Automation and Electronics, will take place from 4 to 7 September at the Exhibition Center Basel. The event is designed as a specialist exhibition for the field of high-efficiency production in Switzerland and is aimed at visitors who are in the market for automation and electronics solutions. Manufacturers, importers and service providers with high levels of technical expertise from the fields of industrial automation and electronics will be exhibiting over an area of 45, 000 m2 (gross). ineltec, the Technology Fair for Building and Infrastructure, will be held in parallel with go.

The focus of go is on industrial automation and electronics, with the aim of meeting the requirements of the industry. The automation and electronics sectors are moving closer and closer together and the two technologies are increasingly appearing on the market in the form of combined solutions.

For this reason industrial electronics, an area that previously formed part of ineltec, has been transferred to the go technology fair. Combining electronics with the related field of automation is a logical solution.

The products and services presented by the exhibitors are aimed at visitors from manufacturing industry. The visitors include corporate and departmental managers and representatives from research, development and purchasing.

For its visitors, who come primarily from Switzerland and neighboring countries, go offers a comprehensive overview of the following areas Control systems; Drive technology; Sensors; Robots and handling systems;- Fluid technology; Engineering in automation; Electronics; Measurement and testing systems; Specialist expertise.

Darwin21 is the start of a long-term development which will make a lasting contribution to the market, the image and the promotion of young talent in the industrial automation industry in Switzerland. 14 teams consisting of one partner from industry and one technical education institution are taking part in an interdisciplinary development competition. In the first stage of the competition the teams have the task of representing at least six human emotions using an interdisciplinary mix of technologies, including mechanics, fluid technology, projection, sensors and robots.
