| Photoimagebrazil - International Image Trade Fair  Recognised by buyers and businessmen as the most important and traditional photo/image trade fair of Latin America, PHOTOIMAGEBRAZIL - International Image Trade Fair, organised and promoted by Alcantara Machado Trade Fairs, commemorates this year its 15th edition. Scheduled to take place at the Imigrantes Exhibition Centre, São Paulo, Brazil, from August 7 to 10, 2007, the fair has the institutional support of two important entities of the sector: ABIMFI - Brazilian Photographic and Image Material Industry Association and SEAFESP - Union of Photography Companies of the State of São Paulo.According to Escobar, visitors´ profile has also changed. As from 1998, the fair stopped being directed at only photographers and started to receive professional buyers that represented image and photo retail networks, in addition to free lancers from various sectors that, in one form or another, utilise image in their activities. In 2006 the event brought together 30 thousand professional buyers, from the 27 states of Brazil, 5 thousand of which were decision makers. Addressing the needs of the Photography, Video, Web Design, Visual Communication, Pre-printing, Digital Printing, Mobile Technology and Consumer Electronic sectors, PhotoImageBrazil 2007 should receive over 300 marks and brand names, surpass the mark of 30 thousand trade professional visitors and be the centre stage for more than 500 launches of different products. For this coming edition KODAK, CANON, SAMSUNG, HP, SONY, OLYMPUS, ROLAND, FUJI, NORITSU, PANASONIC, NIKON, PENTAX, ELGIN and OPECO, among others, have confirmed their presence. The 30 thousand plus trade professionals and visitors of the event will have at their disposal at PhotoImageBrazil seven simultaneous events directed at professional skills and business upgrading to choose from. Therefore the schedule of conferences, seminars and debates will cover new trends in products and business management; updating of essential tools for image professionals; the challenges of new technologies and their business models; in addition to discussions about copyright legislation and ways and means of expanding services and increasing profitability. Among the simultaneous initiatives, the promoter will hold the 3rd edition of the Digital Convergence Forum, this year dedicated to IPTV and which takes place on August 8, the second day of the event.
