Texworld USA

Texworld USA, which will take place July 17-19, is gearing up for its new location launch in Hall 1A at The Javits Convention Center in New York City. The show will continue to provide an international business platform offering a wide array of highly creative fabrics with an excellent price / quality relationship.

Some of the world's most prominent labels have already registered for the July event including: Ann Taylor, Calvin Klein, Edun, Guess, J. Crew, Mothers Work, Sean John, Talbots, Target, Tommy Hilfiger, and Victoria's Secret.

The July 2007 seminar program is sponsored by Lenzing Fibers and will consist of six different seminars; two color/trend seminars, two seminars focused on Lenzing Fibers, an overview of the current retail landscape, and an eco discussion panel that will gain insight from some of the industry leaders on where they believe green garments will be headed in the future.

This summer's event will feature for the first time at Texworld USA, a dynamic Trend Display where buyers can take a look at the Fall/Winter 2008/09 trend colors represented by selected fabrics from Texworld USA exhibitors. The display will feature 4 stories.

Metropolis combines cold, technical finishes with soft and comforting fine-gauge knits in a palette where powdery and dusted-off nuances sit alongside plaster pink, chalky whites and steel grey.

The warm camels and browns of Allure are punctuated with an intoxicating mix of rich purple, claret and cerise and worked into textured and brushed aspects, Chanel tweeds and elegant shirtings.

Alchemy embraces unusual materials and new metal alloys for edgy tailoring and evocative eveningwear. Prints feature unexpected collages and hints of sparkle; color-shifts and textures reveal irregularities.

Fashion meets high performance in Sports Luxe where the brights collide with intense dark indigo and evergreen; waxed cottons, dynamic graphics and regimental stripes are key.

There will also be a display dedicated to Eco-friendly fabrics, based on organic cotton, hemp, ramie and bamboo in a range of natural tones, or slightly tinged with color.
