Tokyo International Book Fair

As Asia's publishing trade fair, Tokyo International Book Fair (TIBF) continues to have a bright outlook as it enters its 14th year in 2007. This year, a record number of 770 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions will participate. Japan's publishers such as Shogakukan, Kodansha, Shueisha, Shinchosha Publishing and Kadokawa Publishing will exhibit, as well as publishers of all genres including scientific specialized publishers to children's book publishers. Also, exhibitors from overseas such as Korea, China, Taiwan, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Belgium, Finland and Egypt are planning their national pavilions for TIBF 2007.

As the number of international exhibitors and visitors at TIBF continues its impressive increase, rights negotiations are becoming active every year. At TIBF 2007, the "Rights Trade Support Service" will be set up for the first time.

Online service provides exhibitors with the opportunity to promote their publication rights information on the TIBF website, and supports them to make appointments online with those who are interested in their titles. By using this service, many rights professionals will be able to negotiate rights effectively at TIBF 2007.
