Korea Railways Fair 2007 From 16 - 19 May 2007, Busan, Korea. 3rd Korea Railways Fair to be held in parallel with Korea Logistics Fair to generate enhanced specialty as well as synergies for both industries. Never-to-miss opportunity for international rolling stock industries to enter the Asian market. The third edition of the Korea Railways Fair will be held from 16 - 19 May 2007 at BEXCO - Busan Exhibition & Convention Center, Korea. The fair is organized by Messe Frankfurt Korea Ltd. and BEXCO as a joint venture, and co-organized by the Korea Rolling Stock Industries Association (KORSIA).

Korea Railways Fair 2007 will present railway infrastructure, railway vehicles for passenger and freight transport, high-speed railway technology, fare collection systems, ticketing, passenger control, services and publications, components and assemblies and maintenance in the railways sector. With extensive supports from Busan Metropolitan City, the Korea Railroad Corporation, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Construction and Transportation, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency and other government bodies, the exhibition is establishing itself as predominant show for the rolling stock industry in Asia, providing an ideal platform for international industries to come and do business in the Asian markets.

Korea is at a point where it now needs to build world-class infrastructures that will shape the country into the logistics hub of the Northeast Asia. The government will increase investment in railway infrastructure in accordance with the mid and long-term 'National Inter- modal Transportation Plan. Most significantly, following the first high-speed railways between Seoul and Busan, construction for the second high-speed railway will begin this year on the Honam High Speed Railway linking Seoul with Mokpo. The construction will be completed by 2017 when the one-way journey between Seoul and Mokpo will take only 106 minutes, less than half of that by train and bus.

A total of 151 exhibitors, including 44 international companies from 15 countries including Germany, France, Russia, Austria, Japan, Finland, the United States, Canada, Switzerland, UK, the Netherlands, China and Singapore, have participated in the fair to enter the Asian market. Total registration for the show recorded 12, 015 visitors from 29 countries worldwide.
