Independent Living Scotland

Independent Living Scotland returns from March 28-29 and will also feature topical seminars and Moving & Handling demonstrations, making it an essential visit for healthcare professionals.

A New Product Showcase featuring the latest market-leading innovations from around 30 companies will confirm Independent Living Scotland as the country's No.1 disability event.

It will be the first time the pneumatic cushion has been exhibited in Scotland and provides a solution to the problem of lifting a faller from the ground, ensuring that moving and handling risks are diminished. It does so by first sitting the person up, then raising them off the floor to a height suitable to stand or transfer through the cushion inflating.

The CAMEL's weight limit of 50stone makes it particularly suitable for the bariatric market - and its lightweight design allows easy transportation, and can be used anywhere, even outdoors.

Tendercare will be exhibiting its Jazz EASyS supportive pushchair in the Showcase. It offers quality and support yet retains the appearance of a recreational pushchair.

Its patented balance safety system ensures that the pivot points for the knee and hip angle adjustment are positioned at the natural motion point of the child - so their posture remains at the correct position without affecting the stability of the pushchair.

And Kirton Healthcare will be raising the profile of its Duo and Nightingale seating systems in the Showcase. The Duo is contemporary in style and provides comfort and effortless functionality while The Nightingale seating system offers a perfect simple solution.

Independent Living Scotland is the leading event for healthcare professionals, dealers of disability and rehabilitation products and members of the public in Scotland - offering a unique opportunity to review the widest selection of disability resources from every sector under one roof.
