The Westec Exposition and Conference

The WESTEC Exposition and Conference is the largest annual North American machine tools and advanced manufacturing event. This year, WESTEC takes place March 26-29 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

With nearly 600 exhibitors from advanced machine tools, cutting tools and accessories, manufacturing technology application and solutions, emerging technologies, and many other business resources all in one place this event provides the Total Manufacturing Experience.

WESTEC attendees, machine shop owners and companies who provide services and products to machine shop owners are invited to listen to this significant impact to California manufacturing.

The keynote speaker at the luncheon will be David M. Bowman, vice president and C-17 program manager for Boeing Integrated Defense Systems. Bowman will speak on the "The Future of Aerospace Manufacturing in Southern California." He is responsible for business, technical, production and support operations for the Boeing/U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III program. Prior to this assignment, he was general manager of the U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier program.

A new offering this year at WESTEC are Plant Tours and Sessions. The plant tours and sessions provide an opportunity to learn about a new technology and see new applications or processes in action.
