Globe 07 - Travel Exhibition In Rome

The first edition of GLOBE will be held from the 22nd to the 24th of March 2007, in the exhibition halls of the Rome Nuova Fiera new trade fair. This is a new international tourism fair, which many say is destined to become the biggest and most important European event of its kind for operators in the sector. GLOBE is the result of a joint venture between Fiera Roma and Rimini Fiera Gruppo who entrusted the organisation of the event to newco ExpoGlobe, 51% of which is controlled by Fiera Roma and 49% by TTG Italia spa, who have been specializing in the management of business to business events for tourism for over 30 years now. Paolo Audino, General Manager of TTG Italia has been nominated Managing Director of ExpoGlobe.

Inspired by the major international events of the sector, such as those in London and Berlin, GLOBE will offer a new fair model and "business to business" organisation, with an efficient platform to put the global tourist offer and demand in touch, with particular attention also to the themes of communication, training, economic-financial aspects and technology, in an ever-changing tourist market in constant growth.

GLOBE will be happy to welcome more than 1000 buyers to the new Rome trade fair, some of the most important international tour operators, who will have enough space to meet every requirement – 16, 000 m2 of covered surface area in four large halls, each of which has a different exposition layout to favour targeted routes and meeting spaces. In fact, GLOBE is organised on the basis of a pre-established agenda of appointments, with an online matching engine to let the buyer select the best possible suppliers and suppliers do the same with potential buyers on the basis of precise corporate profiles.

At GLOBE, the biggest tourist marketplace in the Mediterranean, operators from the sector will find a vast range of products and potential new contacts, useful for consolidating their position and developing their offer to this destination. One whole hall is reserved for Italy and its regions, while in the Mediterranean hall there will be promotion agencies from abroad and suppliers of services from many tourist destinations, including Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Tunisia, and Jordan.
