Furniture Fabric Show

Within the space of five years, the Furnifab – Furniture Fabric Show has developed into one of the major events in the seating and upholstery furniture industry in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe. Around 120 exhibitors and 2, 500 trade visitors are expected at the 5th Furnifab show (March 27th – 29th, 2007) where they will have the opportunity to review the latest trends in the world of upholstery and leather. To accommodate increased demand from exhibitors and visitors, the trade show will move into the new Hall 7A, where it will have even more space at the Poznań International Fairgrounds.

The organizer expects that about 120 companies from the supplies industry in Poland and elsewhere in Europe will be at Furnifab 2007. The show will focus on the attractive high-volume business in the following product categories: coverings and printed fabrics, leather, imitation leather and microfiber materials, inlets, cushions, upholstery and laminates. It has already become apparent that the Turkish exhibitor contingent will be much larger than last year.

Around 2, 500 international trade visitors are expected to attend Furnifab 2007, which will be held about 3 months prior to the Polish Meble furniture show. Furnifab is primarily targeted at the persons who make the purchasing, design and product management decisions. The show now attracts visitors from Poland, the Baltic States, Russia, Germany, the Benelux countries and Southern Europe. Iwona Cerba, who is in charge of Furnifab in Poznań, hopes to see more Ukrainian visitors at next year's event.

The color and fabric trends for 2007 will be presented in an attractive, compact format on at central platform in Hall 7A. The forum will be organized and prepared by the Polish design studio D.A.B. Borowinski (Lodz) which has staged similar events at other shows in Poland and Germany. The owner of the design studio, Marek Borowinski, will once again be working on furniture textile trends and color schemes in the run up to Furnifab 2007, and they will be made available to all exhibitors. At the end of March 2007, trade visitors and journalists at the "Trend Forum" will have the opportunity to get a first-hand impression of what the companies have come with.
