Timtos, The Best Show about Machine Tools

Organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council & TAMI, TIMTOS 2007 runs from March 12th to 17th at TWTC Exhibition Halls 1 – and Halls 2 & 3. This biennial global gala of machine tool technology spotlights a record 713 exhibitors— 10.5 % increase over the last show.

TIMTOS 2007 is packed with exciting value-added activities. Through the efforts of the 46 overseas branch offices of TAITRA, the machine tools distribution channels from 24 countries 65 companies have been invited to Taiwan and will join hundreds of procurement meetings. Moreover, buying groups from France, Romania, Japan, Hong Kong, Brazil, India and Indonesia have been confirmed will come to visit the show.

The overseas units from Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan have also backed the effort. It was their glowing efforts that brought Mr. Arandia, chairman of the Spanish Machine Tools Association to lead 5 Spanish machine tool buyers to visit the show. There are also 16 Chilean machine tool distribution channels including CODEMA who are coming to the show to procure select products such as lathes, drilling machines, grinding machines, and bending machines.

The organizer estimates that those procurement meetings will assist the domestic machinery industry to create business opportunities valued at US$200~300 million. To assist related companies in obtaining the latest market information and the newest technology TAITRA is arranging a series of Machine Tool Market Seminars. Speakers at these keynote events are from seven nations including Russia, Brazil, India, South Africa, Malaysia, Japan, and Turkey. Meanwhile, PMC is also invited to conduct a series of industrial technology seminars that focuses upon machine tool design, technology, applications, and future development. Don't miss this great opportunity to get insiders' tips.

TIMTOS 2007 is well aligned with the market trends of increased speed, high precision, and high efficiency with its high value-added products such as high-speed linear motor-driven machine tools, and NC lathe combo machining centers. And Taiwan's machine tool industry excels at filling customer made-to-fit orders instead of simply churning out general models.

With TIMTOS ranking as Asia's third largest such show and continuing to expand, demand for space has outpaced available supply. But that "space race" will soon be solved with the pending inauguration of the Nan-Kang Exhibition Hall that doubles current TWTC space in early 2008. The next TIMTOS in March 2009 will span both the TWTC Exhibition Hall as well as the brand new Nan-Kang Exhibition Hall.
