Fi Asia-China 2007

Fi Asia-China and IUFoST announced the release of the programme of The Natural and Safe Foods Conference, to take place during Food ingredients Asia-China 2007 at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre, Pudong, China, 15 and 17 March 2007.

The Chinese food and beverage industry is undergoing a dynamic process of improvement and modernisation with high quality, natural food ingredients growing in demand and popularity. In response, Food ingredients Asia-China and the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST) have developed an in-depth, cutting edge conference that focuses on two themes which address some of the most significant developments in the global food industry today, natural ingredients and food safety.

Internationally renowned food science and technology experts and key industry representatives from around the world including the USA, Canada, Australia, the UK and China will gather to present at this years conference. The Natural and Safe Foods Conference will be held in conjunction with the Food ingredients Asia-China 2007 Exhibition, and is supported by the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology (CIFST).

Professor Fereidoon Shahidi of Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada will present the latest development in nutraceuticals and functional foods of plant origin (such as fruits, vegetables, grains and seeds) for health promotion and disease risk reduction.

The Food ingredients Asia-China 2007 Exhibition takes place from 15-17 March 2007 at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre, Pudong, China. The event provides a platform for companies to showcase their food ingredients to the growing Chinese market. Food industry professionals from China and the rest of the world will get an opportunity to see the latest innovations in the industry, discuss trends and establish important business contacts.

Now home to more than 20% of the world's population and a country that is becoming increasingly interested in foreign foodstuffs, Fi Asia-China 2007 provides an opportunity for the industry to reach this ever expanding market. Increasingly, Ingredient manufacturers and food producers are finding China a profitable operational base because consumers are willing and eager to try innovative recipes, different foodstuffs and new styles of meal.
