International Trade Fair for the Meat Industry

In the spring of 2007, the international meat-processing industry will once again get together at IFFA, Leading International Trade Fair for the Meat Industry: Processing, Packaging, Sales, in Frankfurt am Main from 5 to 10 May. 90 percent of the exhibition space has already been booked and all market leaders have registered to take part with almost six months still to go before the fair begins. At the fair, they will present the technical innovations that they have developed since the last IFFA, three years ago. The organisers expect to welcome around 850 exhibitors on 120, 000 square metres of exhibition space and in the region of 56.000 trade visitors.

The spectrum of products to be seen at IFFA covers the entire value chain of the meat-processing sector. From slaughtering and cutting up, via processing, to packaging and selling, butchers' requisites, spices and ingredients. In Halls 8 and 9, exhibitors present machines and plant for slaughtering, cutting up and processing.

Manufacturers of packaging machines and equipment are located in Halls 4.0, 4.1 and 6.0. Also to be found in Hall 4.1: suppliers of butchers' requisites, spices and auxiliary products. In Hall 6.0, visitors will find the related product groups of 'measuring and weighing systems' and 'selling' while in Hall 6.1, exhibitors present their ranges of products for 'selling' and 'everything for the butcher's shop'.

The IFFA 2007 trade fair will be rounded off by a comprehensive fringe programme of events including the Meat Vision Conference, at which top speakers will discuss current subjects and trends in the meat-processing sector, and the competitions of the German Butchers' Association.
