The third Data Centres Europe

The third Data Centres Europe taking place in London 22-23 March 2007, will address the many challenges and opportunities in the face of a sustained boom in demand and record growth levels. The event, which this year significantly themes the enterprise user, will also seek to articulate the evidence for continued growth, but also assess the consequences in terms of technology and investment and as regulation increasingly encroaches on data centre activity. Data Centres Europe also hosts another first – the Data Centres Awards Ceremony with 8 categories for nomination including best Data Centre in Europe and Outstanding CEO of the year award.

Themes to be discussed at the event cover a range of critical topics including the evolution of Data Centres in Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt and other European centres, future funding and investment in Data Centres, the migration of IT in Financial Services companies to third party outsourcing, Managed Services – and the rising importance of VoIP to the portfolio, a Peering Panel, an update on the carrier hotels market, the rise of connectivity, and a special focus session, Content Delivery in the Data Centre environment.

Following keynote presentations by guest speakers, the second day of the event poses the question, how urgent is virtualisation and an expert panel will assess best practice in Data Centres.

A highlight of the event will be The Green Seminar – How Green and Sustainable Should Data Centres become? Provided by global consultancy ARUP, the seminar aims to address key questions confronting Data Centres for the short, medium and long term.
