The 21st International Fabric and Accessory Fair

The 21st International Fabric and Accessory Fair – TEXGATE 2007 shall be organized by ITF-İstanbul Trade Fairs and held at İstanbul CNR EXPO between 08-10 March, 2007. With a rejuvenated concept in 2006, TEXGATE, which has garnered the praise of sector professionals in Turkey and abroad as it set the stage for acquiring a share of the $60 billion sector, plans to be the sector's gateway to the world in the year 2007. Organized twice a year, the world's fourth exhibition in its field, TEXGATE will be bringing textile manufacturers and international purchases together in bold fashion in İstanbul during 2007.

With a renewed concept which got a lot of attention last year, TEXGATE 2006 hosted domestic labels as well as firms from Italy, France, Brazil, Australia, China, India and Pakistan that have proven themselves on the international platform. The exhibition was the arena in the race to grab a share in the G"Ready-to-Wear" market, worth $10 billion in Turkey and $50 Billion in surrounding countries.

In consolidating cooperation with COTTON USA for the first time this year, fabric and accessories manufacturers, which are the highly sought after suppliers of the national and international markets, will be meeting with top-level purchasing agents and designers of giant labels such as FCUK, Dorothy Perkins, Laura Ashley, GAP, Marks & Spencer, H&M, Adidas, Pepe Jeans, PUMA, Esprit Europe, S.Oliver, Betty Barclay, Tesco, Debenhams, River Island, Warehouse, Next and numerous others at İstanbul CNR EXPO for TEXGATE 2007.

We hosted 128 local exhibitors at the 20th International Fabric and Accessory Fair - TEXGATE II. In addition to significant participation from Turkey, we also experienced a total of 97 international participants, mainly from India, Pakistan, China, Brazil, France and Italy, whereas more than 15, 000 professional visitors passing through the turnstiles.. In addition, our exhibitors were given the opportunity to improve their trade volume by attending TEXGATE, which created a bridge between East and West.

While the global economy is making more and more of an impact, interest in global economy exhibitions is on the wane. On the other hand, the importance of such fairs is increasing from the aspect of becoming a regional power. While labels participating in last year's TEXGATE brought a breath of fresh air to the fair, they also ensured a positive contribution in the number of visitors with their wide range of products geared towards every need. The fair's rejuvenated concept was the reason for the heavy visitor participation from countries in the EU as well as neighboring nations such as Bulgaria, Greece, the Ukraine, Russia, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Iran and UAE.
