Airport India 2007

Final preparations are being made for inter airport India 2007, which opens its doors at New Delhi's Pragati Maidan Exhibition Centre on 21 February. Companies taking part in the three-day event cover the complete range of services and equipment needed for the safe and efficient operation of the modern airport. With India's airport network currently undergoing a huge expansion and investment programme, the exhibition will provide a unique opportunity for representatives of the country's air transport industry to learn about the latest technological developments.

Staged with the support of the Airports Authority of India, the exhibition brings together 130 companies from 18 countries, including many of the top names in the industry. Among nations represented are China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Luxemburg, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, the UK and the USA. National government-sponsored participation from Germany and the UK also plays an integral part in the event.

The diverse range of products and services to be presented at inter airport India 2007 includes ground support equipment, cargo handling systems, airfield lighting, aircraft fuelling and maintenance equipment, baggage handling and communications and air traffic control technology. The vital area of security will also be covered, together with terminal systems and equipment.

Visitors to the exhibition will cover key sectors of the air transport industry ? airport planners and managers, passenger and cargo airlines, ground handling companies, air cargo forwarders and government agencies responsible for air transport development, plus other organisations active in this booming and economically vital market.

Now for the first time inter airport has been brought to India, where Mack Brooks Exhibitions is working with its local partner, InterAds Ltd to stage the show in New Delhi. Alongside the exhibition will be a programme of seminars at the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Centre at which representatives of India's airport authorities will detail their development plans. Intended to provide participants with a clearer insight into how the country's airport infrastructure is expected to grow, the seminar programme has been devised by an Advisory Committee chaired by Dr K Ramalingam, Chairman of the Airports Authority of India.
