When the West Coast's design and manufacturing event returns to the Anaheim Convention Center on Feb-13-15, 2007, more than 45, 000 product development professionals will explore the latest advances in materials, assembly and electronic components, packaging, plastics processing, production machinery, automation equipment and controls, software and enterprise networks, and a wide array of allied contract and support services.

The three-day event will feature more than 2, 200 exhibitors and over 330, 000 sq ft of product displays and demonstrations. The mega event includes the following shows: Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) West, WestPack, Pacific Design & Manufacturing (PDM), Electronics West, PLASTEC West, and Automation Technology Expo (ATX) West.

Exhibitors at the 23 rd annual MD&M West show will present current and next-generation design materials, components, electronics, computer-aided design and manufacturing, production machinery, packaging, sterilization, quality systems, device communications, networking and enterprise IT—all medical-grade, enabling manufacturers to meet the rigorous demands of FDA requirements as well as an increasingly competitive healthcare marketplace.

WestPack features products and solutions for every packaging application. Exhibits include materials, machinery and machinery components, containers, custom automation and control technology, robotics, software, and support services. Established in 1946, WestPack is one of the country's longest running plastics shows and the largest industry event in the western United States.

Now in its 10 th year, the Pacific Design & Manufacturing Show includes leading suppliers of CAD/CAM/PDM, rapid prototyping systems, motors, drives, lasers, control components and systems including linear actuators and machine perception technology, electronics, contract design, engineering and manufacturing services.

Electronics West exhibitors will display the complete range of electronic components, including cables, connectors, switches, displays, power supplies, machine interfaces, and more, subassemblies, software, the latest developments in WiFi, Bluetooth, ZigBee and other wireless connectivity solutions, and contract manufacturing services.

Exhibitors at Automation Technology Expo West will demonstrate recent advances in automated assembly systems, control components and software, motion control systems, robotics, sensors and machine perception technology including vision inspection systems, and custom design-build automation solutions.

This year's shows include eight special focus pavilions: PRECISION Tec, MEDPAK, Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Packaging, Cosmetic and Personal Care Packaging, Material Handling & Logistics and new for 2007: Quality, LASER Tec, and Contract Packaging & Outsourcing Services.
