The Stockholm International Boat Show runs from 3-11 March at Stockholm International Fairs.

More people are going to sea. The atmosphere and beauty of the marine landscape, the quiet and calm, the shared experience with friends and kin are all driving forces behind the increased interest in the boating life in Sweden; helped along by the wonderful summers of recent years and a booming economy. As a consequence Swedish boat building production is running at full capacity and a large number of new international boat models are appearing on the Swedish market. Many will be on display at the Stockholm International Boat Show 2007.

The larger sailing yachts are assembled in Alfa hall, this year numbering some 30 craft. All the better known yards, such as Beneteau, Jeanneau, Hanse, Elan and Bavaria will be present. Other sailboats include Finnfire, Hunter and a new English-built international three-man ballast keel boat. Swedish classics such as the Folk Boat and Albin Express will be on display at the sailing yacht quay.

The Swedish name for the Stockholm International Boast Show, "Allt för sjön", means literally "everything for the sea". Consequently, all the latest navigation aids, a large selection of marine wear and every conceivable marine accessory are on display. Not only that, but wonderful old wooden boats too; this year being the turn of R-Boat racing sloops and Forslund motorboats to show off their beautiful lines.
