Multifamily Housing Convention & Expo

Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS), a mortgage technology specialist that provides in-house commercial servicing technology to the mortgage industry, announced at the 2007 Mortgage Bankers Association Commercial Real Estate Finance (CREF)/Multifamily Housing Convention & Expo that users of its Commercial Servicer and Commercial Accountant systems can now download quarterly releases directly from the Internet.

Traditionally, FICS had delivered quarterly software updates via shipped CD-ROMs, but switched to online delivery after working with its customer base to determine that an electronic download, via the Internet, would be the best delivery method. With this delivery option, customers are now able to proactively manage their commercial servicing software, enabling them to make the most of their technology investment by swiftly keeping the Commercial Servicer and Commercial Accountant tuned for optimal performance and utilization.

Once the compressed files are uploaded to the Website by FICS, customers have immediate access to the software updates, as well as download history, including a time stamp of what was downloaded when, and by whom. Customers can download a file once or multiple times if necessary and run the update at their convenience.
