Aero India 2007

Aero India 2007, the 6th International Aerospace & Defence Exhibition, is being organised by Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Farnborough International Ltd. at Air Force Station, Yelahanka, Bangalore, India from February 7 to 11, 2007. It will bring to fore new opportunities for the aviation and aerospace industry. Aero India 2007 will have five new hangars, with an approximate increase of 5, 670 sq. mtrs. over Aero India 2005, with a possibility of further increase in the area as per the increase in demand.

So far Aero India 2007, has received a tremendous response from International and Domestic Companies and a large "International" participation is coming in terms of country pavilions from nations like France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Russia, UK, USA, Ukraine etc.

Apart from this, domestic participation is also shaping up very well. Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies & Industries (SIATI) will have a larger group of members participating at Aero India 2007. The Ordnance Factory Board (OFB), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSU's) including Hindustan eronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) are participating in a big way.

As a result of the expected increase in participation, the organisers have decided to increase the exhibition area to 25, 000 sq. mtrs. of indoor space and 30, 000 sq. mtrs. outdoor space. Aero India 2007, will have an exclusive area for positioningof business aircraft for static and air display as well as the option of customer demonstration flights. To facilitate this special focus area, a "Business Aircraft Area" is being created. A package of chalet combined with static display of aircraft is being offered in this area as part of this package.
