Innovative Industry Seminar and Networking Event

Michael Arrington of TechCrunch and Mike "Zappy" Zapolin of Internet Real Estate Group LLC will headline DOMAINfest Global, a three-day seminar and networking event created specifically to respond to the needs of domainers operating in today's business environment. The event will be held January 31-February 3, 2007 at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood, California.

DOMAINfest is open to all those interested in the domain industry. The event will feature a combination of casual and structured networking opportunities and high value informational sessions on industry trends and topics, including tax and financial planning, how to build a business from a name, and how to structure your portfolio.

Mike "Zappy" Zapolin, Co-Founder of the Internet Real Estate Group, LLC, will be the opening keynote speaker on February 1st. As a leader in the development of Internet Real Estatetm and online brands, he will talk about visionary brand development. Zappy owns and operates a domain portfolio representing some of the most important online categories including Software.com, Phone.com, Podcast.com, Sweepstakes.com, Chocolate.com, Safety.com, Relationship.com, Jeans.com, and Luggage.com. He is also the creator of the Harvard Business School elective course on E-Business and an alumnus of Harvard Business School.

Michael Arrington, Editor and Founder of the popular web 2.0 blog, TechCrunch, will be the luncheon keynote speaker on February 1st. His insights into the evolution of the domain marketplace, the maturation of the online advertising model, and what the future holds for the industry will provide attendees with a unique perspective. He has deep knowledge in the domain aftermarket space and has consulted for industry giants such as VeriSign and SnapNames.
