Genera 2007, the International Energy and Environment Fair, which is making the final preparations for its tenth edition. Organised by IFEMA, the fair will take place in Hall 5 at FERIA DE MADRID between 28th February and 2nd March next year.

Genera 2007 will enjoy the strong institutional backing of IDAE, the Spanish Institute for Energy Saving and Diversification, whose Head, Enrique Jiménez Larrea, has accepted the chairmanship of the fair´s Organising Committee.

We might highlight the more than 7, 000 visitors accredited exclusively for this fair, to which we must add the considerable number of installers who attended from the simultaneously staged fair known as CLIMATIZACIÓN, the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Ventilation and Refrigeration Exhibition, which welcomed some 24, 000 professionals. The fair is also backed by current energy policies and the general framework in favour of energy-saving measures and measures designed to preserve the environment.

The coinciding dates of GENERA and CLIMATIZACION will highlight the growing synergy between these two sectors and arouse the interest of professionals linked to the field of air-conditioning. In this respect, air-conditioning is likely to benefit from the future development of renewable energies in Spain.
