International FoodTec India

India's trade fair for food and beverage technology, International FoodTec India, will be held for the fourth time from 23rd to 25th November 2006. The prospects for the event are very good as the fair has been continuously enhanced since its debut in 2002 and it is expected to grow further this year. To ensure that this growth is maintained at future events, International FoodTec India will be moving this year from Hyderabad to Mumbai, where it will be held on the Bombay Exhibition Ground (NSE) for the first time.

At International FoodTec India, a total of 140 companies from 17 countries will be displaying their innovations on about 7, 000 m² of exhibition space. The organisers also anticipate visitor figures to increase, with around 10, 000 specialist buyers expected to attend the fair from India and abroad.

In addition to exhibitors from India, companies from Australia, Belgium, China, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, the UK, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, and Thailand will be taking part. The chief exhibitors will include the German group participation headed by the VDMA (15 companies), the Swiss Pavilion (six companies), which is being organised in close cooperation with Osec Business Network Switzerland, and group participations from China and Taiwan.

The successful cross-over concept that was transferred from Anuga FoodTec in Cologne to India will be maintained. Major international players will be represented in the food technology part as well as at the spin-off events Sweet & Snack Factory India and Dairy Universe India. The participating companies will include FAM, FMC, GEA, Heat & Control, Kanchan Metals, Mico Bosch, Trepko A/S, and Vetal.
