The International Food Show

An expo at the service of chefs. Year by year, the International Food Show, whose 37th edition is being held from 10th to 13th February 2007 at Rimini Fiera, accentuates the attention it focuses on the Ôpulsating heart´ of every restaurant. The next edition of MIA will once again host the great initiative of the Federation of Italian Chefs, a specialized forum dedicated to catering trade members organized by Rimini Fiera in collaboration with the FIC and with the sponsorship of the WACS (World Association of Chefs Societies).

The great ÔChefs´ Piazza´ will be an interactive area of approximately 2, 000m2 in hall D7, in which the initiatives will be staged.
First of all, ARTISTICA 2007 (the 4th edition of the international competition of Artistic Chefs), with the participation of 200 contestants from all over Italy and abroad. A great contest, but above all an enjoyable event held under the banner of creativity. At the end of the performances, which will be strictly live and are sure to attract the interest of thousands of trade members, the daily awards ceremony for the winners, plus a show of their works.

The protagonists of ARTISTICA 2007 are artistic chefs whose profession is the art of carving and sculpting in their kitchens and who have chosen Rimini as the ideal showcase for their skills. The art of carving/sculpting embellishes and highlights the presentation of food wherever it is eaten (restaurants, hotels, farmhouse vacation venues, cruise liners, shopping centres, etc)

In the Chefs´ Piazza there will be a demo room, ÔThe Innovation Theatre´, where firms exhibiting at MIA will present their new products for the eating out market and large-scale distribution. Lastly, the Meeting points for the chefs, who can set appointments to meet the firms they are interested in.
The Innovation Theatre will offer news, information and details on the new products at the expo and thus the trends of the eating out market, which also has interested clients in the large-scale distribution trade.
