SDSIC 12th Annual Investment Conference

The San Diego Software Industry Council (SDSIC) 12th Annual Investment Conference is scheduled for October 26, 2006, at La Jolla Marriott.

The conference will feature three industry visionaries as keynote speakers and showcase the region's most innovative software companies. Seven promising software companies will "pitch" their business plans to an audience of top venture capital firms seeking to invest $500, 000 to $5 million. Conference attendees get a first look at up-and-coming software companies, insights from keynotes, and networking with other industry leaders.

Keynote speakers include Ann Winblad, co-founding Partner of Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, Timothy C. Draper, Founder and Managing Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and Dr. Robert Hecht-Nielsen, Founder of HNC Software and widely recognized leader in the cognitive computing and computational neurobiology field. They will present insights into managing trends, capital, and business opportunities in today's software industry.

This year's seven presenting companies were chosen from dozens of applications gathered by the SDSIC over the past few months. Selected software companies will get the chance to present their business plan to an influential audience of investors, influencers and corporate companies. The finalists are seeking funding needed to take the company to the next level and to join other successful software companies that have been launched in San Diego.
