Archivas and Enigma Data Solutions

Archivas, Inc., provider of digital archiving solutions, and Enigma Data Solutions Ltd., provider of data management software worldwide, announced that they will jointly demonstrate their recently announced joint Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) solution at the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), International Exposition and Seventy-Sixth Annual Meeting, taking place this week, October 1 – 6, 2006 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Archivas and Enigma Data Solutions demonstration, in booth #919, will showcase how by combining Archivas Cluster (ArC ) archiving solutions with Enigma's data management software they can deliver an unparalleled ability to address the unique demands of digital archiving and information management in the oil and gas industry. More specifically, how geophysical information and images are quickly and easily written to the archive, how those records are preserved and managed, as well as how real-time access is achieved. Attendees will experience first hand how this groundbreaking active archiving and information management technology, which is also highly complimentary with tape storage devices, can dramatically reduce the time to find critical information, increase data availability, and ensure users can access archived data many years into the future. In addition, the two companies will also address how the joint solution enables oil and gas companies to comply with increasingly stringent Sarbanes-Oxley financial reporting mandates.

News builds upon a joint Archivas and Enigma Data Solutions announcement made on June 19, 2006 in which the two companies declared that they had entered into an agreement, under which they would join together to offer completely integrated and tested end-to-end Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) solutions to joint customers.
