Mike Rogers To Keynote Homeland Security Consortium Event

The Michigan Homeland Security Consortium Event will bring its membership and honored guests together on the 5th anniversary of the september 11th attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, which will take place in downtown Lansing on Monday, September 11, 2006 and will start promptly at 12 Noon.

The keynote speaker will be U.S. Representative Mike Rogers of Michigan's 8th district. Congressman Rogers is a former FBI agent and former state senator. He sits on the U.S. House Select Committee on Intelligence and is Chairman of the Subcommittee on Intelligence Policy.

Through presentations and discussions, attendees - which will include Michigan Homeland Security companies and related groups - will have an opportunity to reflect on recent events. The group also will address the state's position as a contributor to Homeland Security - both at home and abroad.

MIHSC is attracting members who recognize a vital need to organize around Homeland Security technologies, public policy and economic development. The group holds its meetings in cities all across Michigan. This event is for MIHSC members and prospective members, elected officials and staff, members of the law enforcement and military community, and others involved or interested in homeland security issues.
