Release 4 Webinar – The latest developments driving progress in the IoT ecosystem

Wednesday June 17th @ 1400 BST

oneM2M: “Global IoT specifications will support interworking between a range of verticals, including smart home, smart cities and Industry 4.0”

WHAT?
Internet of Things (IoT) technologies are an increasingly ever-present part of everyday life. They improve the management of critical resources, often in remote locations. They help industrial firms reduce waste and boost efficiencies. Their impact benefits the environment and delivers convenience to consumers. Smart cities, Industry 4.0 factories and smart homes, for example, are three growing cases of the IoT’s potential on society. However, in the face of tremendous market growth, to realize the IoT’s full potential, standardization is key.

During this webinar, oneM2M will provide insight to the recent developments towards global standardization with a preview of some of the new features of its latest set of specifications, Release 4. Attendees will also receive an introduction to the oneM2M testing scope and related oneM2M certification program, interoperability events and hackathons.

WHERE & WHEN?
The live webinar panel discussion will take place via Zoom on Wednesday June 17th @ 1400 BST. To register, please visit: https://www.onem2m.org/news-events/eventsmenu/events/eventdetail/112/-/webinar-onem2m-s-latest-developments-in-the-iot-ecosystem-and-first-preview-of-new-features-in-release-4.

WHO?
Roland Hechwartner of Deutsche Telekom (DT) and Chair of the oneM2M Technical Plenary will moderate the webinar and introduce in brief the oneM2M standard and its evolution from Release 1.0 to Release 4.0.

Shane He of Nokia and the Chair of the Requirements and Domain Models working group will give insight to the highlights of vertical domain enablement and information models based on Smart Device Template 4.0 defined in oneM2M.

Dale Seed of Convida Wireless and Chair of the System Design and Security working group will then illustrate oneM2M’s recent development and will give a preview of new features in the Release 4.

Andrew Min-gyu Han of Hansung University and Chair of the Testing and Developers Ecosystem working group will highlight the oneM2M testing scope, show the latest achievements in the global certification program, as well as introduce oneM2Ms interoperability test events and hackathons.
