M-Files Showcases AI-Powered Information Management for Office 365 at Microsoft Inspire 2019

The first intelligent information management solution to offer unified access to information across the enterprise from directly within Teams, Outlook and SharePoint Online

M-Files Corporation, the intelligent information management company, today announced it will be featuring a new family of solutions for Microsoft Office 365 solutions at Microsoft Inspire 2019. As an exhibitor at Microsoft's largest partner event, M-Files will be networking with new partners and giving live demonstrations at booth #1916 in the Mandalay Bay Convention Centre, Las Vegas, Nev., from July 14-18, 2019.

M-Files recently expanded its AI-powered information management solutions for Microsoft Office 365, offering out-of-the-box document management, compliance and governance features, all seamlessly integrated with the familiar Office 365 applications. From directly within Microsoft SharePoint Online, Outlook and Teams, M-Files offers users direct access to enterprise data stored in a variety of external repositories and line-of-business applications, including on-premises file shares, file sharing services, legacy ECM systems, and CRM and ERP applications, without needing to migrate data.

The new solutions enable users to manage all their data directly within familiar Microsoft Office 365 user interfaces instead of toggling between applications. Businesses can take advantage of M-Files version history, security, workflow, electronic signatures, and more, while administrators can efficiently manage security and compliance support, even for content that is stored outside of M-Files in other repositories, such as network file shares, SharePoint, Box and OpenText. M-Files also provides its own purpose-built cloud and on-premises content repositories, with a unique dual deployment user license allowing even those with large on-premises investments to be instantly cloud ready on day one.

The M-Files cloud-based solution runs on the highly reliable and scalable Microsoft Azure cloud platform, which accounted for 83 percent of subscription-based business through M-Files U.S. partners in the first quarter of 2019, leveraging geographically distributed data centres to provide fast and compliant service worldwide.

M-Files also employs artificial intelligence to automatically analyse and classify documents, extract insights and ensure proper handling of sensitive information, such as personally identifiable information (PII). AI-powered features, such as auto-tagging and auto-classification infer the meaning, value and sensitivity of documents and other information to establish context, so content and other information "shows up" where expected and when needed.

At Microsoft Inspire, M-Files will also demonstrate the newly released AI-driven Advanced Plugin for Microsoft Outlook. The new solution allows those who prefer Outlook as their primary user interface to directly access content and data right along with emails, without having to switch to another application. This saves time and effort while surfacing the most relevant information to improve collaboration and productivity. AI-powered predictive filing capabilities also proactively prompt users to file content and emails correctly.

“It's estimated that 80 to 90 percent of business information is contained in unstructured content, basically documents, files, images, and so on, so all business processes and line of business applications rely on finding and accessing that content efficiently, " said Scott Erickson, senior vice president of channel sales at M-Files. "M-Files enables visibility into this critical information regardless of where it's stored across the enterprise, so corporate legal, project and customer success teams can all access the same documents in their preferred Microsoft applications, simplifying daily work and accelerating Microsoft Office 365 adoption and business value.”
