CEBIT 2018: Italtel to showcase digital transformation solutions

Tools for Industry 4.0, advanced telemedicine, cybersecurity and quality of experience enforcement will be demonstrated

Hannover, Germany, June 4, 2018 – Italtel, which together with Exprivia forms a new international player in the design and development of innovative solutions and services for digital transformation, will present its latest offerings to help enterprises digitalize their processes and build new business models for key vertical markets at CEBIT 2018.

Speaking ahead of the show, Luca Ferraris, Head of Strategy, Innovation and Communication at Italtel, said the solutions on display highlight the opportunity for manufacturers to escape the decade-long stagnation they have experienced, with the emergence of Industry 4.0 bringing new opportunities to increase their productivity and enhance their international competitiveness.

According to Ferraris, digital transformation will have a significant impact on other vertical markets such as healthcare, which is characterized by a growing demand for technologically-advanced solutions to stay in tune with people’s needs and expectations as the age of the European population increases and chronic diseases rise. These trends, said Ferraris, are also creating new opportunities for operators to deliver added-value services over a truly secure and reliable network infrastructure that needs to be aware of services that are transported across key vertical markets.

“The emergence of the digital transformation gives operators a strategic path to launch new revenue-generating services and essentially improve their position in the Enterprise market, ” said Ferraris. “By choosing a partner with expertise both in network infrastructure and the processes of businesses in vertical markets, operators will be able to manage the entire ICT value chain, from infrastructure components to applications, creating a significant advantage and positioning them to unlock and monetize the digitalization of services.”

Ferraris will expand further on this topic during CEBIT when he delivers a presentation, titled “European industry reshoring thanks to digitization, ” as part of the Internet of Things (IoT) Forum, in Hall 13, on Wednesday, June 13 at 11.20am. Delegates attending CEBIT will then be able to see the ideas discussed in the session brought to life at Italtel’s booth through a number of demonstrations.

Italtel will, in particular, focus on how the development of Industry 4.0, smart healthcare, smart cities and smart grids can strengthen digital economies across European markets, by creating new forms of recurrent revenues, jobs and environment sustainability. The solutions on show include:
