Katherine Ryan Hands Out Awards at Datacloud Europe 2017 to the Winners of 10th Datacloud Awards

Winners Announced

Monaco/London, 7 June 2017 – BroadGroup announced the winners of this year's Datacloud Awards, showcasing innovation, inspiration and excellence in data centre and cloud. The gala dinner and ceremony in the heart of Monte Carlo was hosted by awarding winning comedienne, Katherine Ryan. Ms Ryan captivated the audience with her fast pace wit and delighted the award winners with a photo opportunity while receiving their award.

The awards were presented on the evening of 6 June in the stunning Monaco Sporting Club and attended by over 600 executives from the data centre and cloud industry. Entries were judged across a range of award categories.

The winners of the 2017 Datacloud Awards are:

Young Technical Leader of the Year Award - Tim Holm, CBRE Data Centre Solutions
African Data Centre Location Award - Grand Bassam City, Ivory Coast presented by Orange
Data Centre Location Award - Marseille Data Centre Campus, presented by Interxion France
Excellence in Cloud Service Award - Global Cloud Xchange
Data Centre Above And Beyond Award – DigiPlex
Excellence in Data Centre Service Award - VIRTUS Data Centres
Cloud Leadership Award - Xavier Poisson Gouyou Beauchamps, VP, WW Indirect Digital Services HPE
Data Centre Leadership Award - Charles-Antoine Beyney, Founder and CEO, Etix Everywhere
Industry Energy Innovation Award – Munters

In addition, BroadGroup presented an Industry Achievement Award to William Stein, CEO, Digital Realty and their Data Center Thought Leadership Award to Christian Belady, GM Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft.

The daily news source Data Economy also presented their EMEA 50 Influencer of the year Award to Michael Tobin OBE.

Simon, chairman of the Judges Panel commented: “The Datacloud Awards celebrate some of the best companies, individuals and technologies in this increasingly challenging and competitive industry. Simon continued “all the categories were hotly contested, with entries of outstanding quality reflecting the amount of change and innovation that is happening in the industry right now. We congratulate the winners on their achievement.”

The Awards show took place on the eve the Datacloud Europe 2017 Conference in The Grimaldi Forum.
