Intelligent IP-based surveillance showcased at IFSEC 2012 Axis Communications, the global leader in the network video market, is going far beyond traditional CCTV by teaming up with analytics partners at IFSEC to demonstrate how they can work together to create complete, intelligent network video solutions. Joining Axis on its stand at IFSEC (Hall 4, E90) are some of Europe’s leading providers of video analytical solutions, Agent Video Intelligence (Agent Vi), Ipsotek, NEC Security Solutions and Sound Intelligence. Video analytic solutions work with IP-based surveillance cameras to provide intelligent traffic monitoring and transform Axis cameras into intelligent devices that can monitor people or situations in real-time and provide specific analysis. Real-time analysis of crowd behaviour, noise detection, accurate facial recognition and traffic monitoring are all enabled with IP-based surveillance cameras through the application of video analytical software. Phil Doyle, regional director, Northern Europe, Axis Communications said: “We work with some of Europe’s leading providers of video analytics to create innovative, optimal network video solutions for our customers. “IP-based surveillance cameras and video analytics software enable incident or event detection and situation intelligence from a distributed network of cameras in real-time. “Our joint solutions help extract business intelligence and can alert organisations to potential threats. They can provide valuable insight into certain suspicious behaviours and this can help prevent or deter incidents from taking place.” The analytical solutions being showcased by Axis’ partners at IFSEC include: • Agent Video Intelligence (Agent Vi) – Combined with Agent Vi’s Vi-System and Vi-Search, Axis cameras become intelligent sensors providing real-time alerts, forensic analysis and business intelligence capabilities for the retail and transport sectors. • Ipsotek provides analytical software for perimeter and intrusion detection, people and vehicle tracking, traffic management, compliance and crowd management. Its Scenario Based Detection software provides detailed analysis of behaviour and can help dramatically reduce false alarms. • NEC’s NeoFace suite comprises security and public safety focused biometric solutions, including accurate facial recognition software. • Sound Intelligence – SIgard is innovative software which analyses and interprets sounds in real time. It is capable of recognising sounds such as gunshots, spray cans (graffiti), breaking glass and picking up on emotions such as aggression and fear. The software is integrated with IP cameras with built-in microphones. Visit Axis and its partners on stand E90, Hall 4, IFSEC.
