Christine Bardwell Joins EMEA IDC Retail Insights

IDC Retail Insights has announced the appointment of Christine Bardwell as research manager for EMEA IDC Retail Insights. In this role, Ms. Bardwell will manage IDC Retail Insights' research for the retail store, channel, and consumer strategies program in Europe while providing consultancy and advisory support to retailers and IT vendors serving the retail industry.

Ms. Bardwell joins IDC Retail Insights with nearly 10 years' experience in retail technologies, specifically consumer facing technologies used by retailers, both in store and online. Ms. Bardwell's specialist knowledge also extends to back-end systems and an understanding of multichannel retail processes, technologies and integration. IDC's Retail Store, Channel, and Consumer Strategies service provides an insight into shoppers' reaction to and adoption of the new breed of consumer selling technologies deployed in retail. This service covers a broad spectrum of technology including POS hardware and software, labor management, self-service systems, guided selling, mobile store technologies, advanced consumer payment modes, and ecommerce platforms.

Ms. Bardwell will research topics that address the trends in retail store system architecture, consumer experience, consumer-centric multichannel objectives, and vendor assessment of retail loyalty management applications.
