Comodo's Robert Schaffer Named CRN Channel Chief for Driving Record Year of Partner Growth

Comodo announces that Robert Schaffer, Comodo managing director of global channels, has been named a Channel Chief for the second consecutive year by Everything Channel's CRN. Channel Chiefs are leaders in creating effective channel programs for solution providers. They consistently defend, promote and execute effective channel partner programs and strategies.

Schaffer has been chosen as a 2010 Channel Chief for his leadership of Comodo's global go-to-market strategy for the company's solution providers and distribution partners, including overseeing several new programs such as Comodo Partner Secure Program which have increased VAR enablement, service delivery, and partner profitability. Schaffer launched significant enhancements to the Partner Secure Program, designed to help resellers differentiate their business, provide more value to customers, and supply opportunities to increase overall profitability. Another critical 2010 achievement was Comodo's increase in the number of active selling partners contributing revenue to Comodo, with year-over-year incremental revenue produced by the partner community increasing more than 30 percent.

This year's Channel Chiefs were chosen by the Everything Channel editorial staff based on criteria including policy and program innovations made during the past year, the amount of revenue generated through partners, willingness to speak out publicly on behalf of the channel, and the number of years dedicated to channel activities.
