SDL Expands Machine Translation Capabilities

SDL has integrated the Microsoft Translator - a machine translation engine, with SDL Translation Management System (SDL TMS) which automates and centralizes the process of translating high volumes of business content into multiple languages.

The integration with SDL TMS makes Microsoft Translator an integral part of the translation process for the global enterprise. Business rules can determine which content should be human translated, machine translated or combined with review by a human translator. This approach delivers translated content faster and enables more content to be translated with the same resources, while significantly reducing translation costs.

By supporting Microsoft Translator, SDL has again expanded the choice available for machine translation to its global customers. SDL TMS is already integrated with Language Weaver, Google Translate and SDL Enterprise Translation System for machine translation. The integration with Microsoft Translator further enhances users' options for both open and secure machine translation systems.
