Cartika Selects CloudLinux OS as Part of its CartikaCloud Offer

Cloud Linux has been selected by Cartika to be the Linux Operating System (OS) platform for their new CartikaCloud initiative. This announcement is significant as it marks the first CloudLinux hosting partner, following its market debut less than 30 days ago. Cartika, who just announced its CartikaCloud service, selected CloudLinux because of their LVESM technology which allows CartikaCloud to deliver a new level of server stability and performance.

The core technology behind CloudLinux OS is Lightweight Virtual Environment (LVE), a kernel-level technology which limits the amount of resources (CPU, I/O, memory) available to a group of processes. With LVE, administrators now have the tools to control the CPU and IO demands of individual tenants, so that a single site can not slow or take down a whole server. While similar in approach to container virtualization, LVE is lightweight and transparent. The LVE level fair-share CPU scheduler makes sure that each account gets enough CPU resources to run efficiently.
