TM Forum Confirms Details of its Third Excellence Awards

TM Forum has confirmed details of its third annual Excellence Awards, to be presented during TM Forum's Management World 2009 (May 4-8, Nice, France). Recognizing operational and business excellence through the use of TM Forum best practices and standards, this year's awards focus on the business value of transformation projects.

TM Forum established the Excellence Awards program in 2007 to showcase the contributions of TM Forum member companies to best practice and improvement in the communications industry. This year, TM Forum will present Excellence Awards for two categories:
Best Practices Award – Service Provider: Awarded to a communications Service Provider who demonstrates the most effective use of TM Forum Interface Standards, Best Practices or Solution Frameworks within a business transformation project, delivering value to the bottom line;
Best Practices Award – Supplier or System Integrator: Awarded to a supplier or system integrator who demonstrates the most effective use of TM Forum Interface Standards, Best Practices or Frameworks as a part of their product offering to the market.

Once again an expert judging panel will be asked to evaluate the nominations, including respected representatives of major service providers, suppliers, analysts and the press.

This year – for the first time – the winner of the Best Practices Award for Suppliers will be decided through a combination of the judging panel and open member voting. Entries agreed by the judging panel to meet the eligibility criteria will be put to an open vote from TM Forum's Service Provider members comprising more than 200 service providers around the world, allowing the supplier's customers to decide the winner.

The 2009 Excellence Awards will be presented during the Management World keynote session on the morning of Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the Acropolis Convention Center in Nice.
