Samsung Releases the CX Series of Large Format Displays

Samsung Electronics America announces the availability of the CX Series of professional large format displays for the custom installation market. The CX Series was created for those environments where form and function are a requirement. Featuring Samsung's industrial design and including features like a digital tuner, HDMI, hidden/integrated speakers along with integrated network PCs to enable easy content management.

With a built-in HDTV tuner as well as a PC, the CX series provides a variety of uses with unlimited control from your network. Unlike traditional consumer HDTVs, the CX displays also offer both horizontal and vertical mounting and are compatible with industry-standard VESA wall mounting hardware. The CX series are perfect for indoor venues to display over-the-air programming and run localized content at the same time. They feature anti burn-in, and anti image-retention circuits to minimize the possibility of static images damaging the unit.

The CXn's include a built-in PC allowing WAN connectivity, with MagicInfo capabilities. MagicInfo provides support for single or multiple content servers, automatic program updating by server, system performance monitoring, remote content management and video wall support. MagicInfo Pro also supports 1920 x 1080 full HD content, for the most impactful images possible. The CX line also incorporates an RS-232C interface, allowing for a single remote computer to control up to 25 displays for convenient and efficient distribution of information.

Bringing a new level of design to professional display market, the CX series feature a high-gloss shiny finish to add a touch of class to any environment. With a resolution of 1366 x 768 cd/m2 of brightness on the 400CX and 400CXn; and 1920 x 1080 cd/m2 of brightness on the 460CX and 460CXn; 3000:1 high dynamic contrast ratio, and a fast 8ms response time, the CX series provides a clear image to support commercial needs. Built-in 10-watt speakers bring crisp, precise sounds to consumers nearby, eliminating the need for separate speakers.

Other features of the CX series include a heavy-duty power supply; advanced cooling technologies and dust build-up prevention techniques for cooler operating temperatures and longer component life; and advanced shielding helps eliminate interference from electromagnetic devices. Additionally, security lock-out features help restrict interference from retail customers and any patrons.
