Telephonetics VIP Announces a Partnership with ONI

Telephonetics VIP has announced a partnership with network integration provider ONI, a Cisco Gold Certified Partner. Under the agreement, ONI will provide the Telephonetics VIP portfolio of automation solutions to customers seeking to deploy speech recognition automation on Cisco's Call Manager.

The channel partnership aims to take advantage of the growing speech recognition and IP markets and follows the successful implementation of Telephonetics VIP's speech-driven call handling solution, ContactPortal, via SIP, on Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

A recent benchmark study by Aberdeen Research showed that speech self-service is quickly becoming an essential application for any organisation interested in delivering the best customer service possible. The survey indicated that implementations of the technology would triple in the next 12-24 months. While Yankee Group predicts a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in the IP market of 31.4 percent, reaching nearly $3.3 billion in 2010. Clearly this all represents a sizeable market opportunity.

The partnership means that customers will have easy access to high quality IP and voice automation products from a single supplier.

The complementary activities of ONI will bring new options for customers. In particular, Telephonetics VIP will enable ONI to broaden their portfolio for the public sector initiatives in which they are currently active.
